Ebdaa Center follows the approach of providing free lessons, believing in everyone’s right to access creativity and beauty regardless of their financial and social status. It recognizes that creativity and talent are not a luxury but are essential in shaping a child’s personality and dreams. Therefore, the center relies on donations as its primary source of funding.
The “Ebdaa Factory” was established to ensure the center’s continuity through two aspects: securing a second financial plan, where the proceeds from products entirely benefit the center. The other aspect is ensuring credibility with donors as they observe the center’s development and interact with its products.
The Ebdaa Factory includes prints of creators’ drawings, original paintings, wooden artworks, woolen toys and crafts, makramyat, artistic decorations, and consistently focuses on renewing its products and ideas.
The Story of "Ebdaa" Center
We often witness success without paying attention to the journey that precedes it and the immense effort involved. This glorious, exhausting, and sometimes painful journey. Ours began in the camps of Syrian refugees in Lebanon, where children created their space with the power of hope: drawing, singing, inventing, and dreaming.
“Why not make a greater impact?” asked one of them, their friend and the one who captured their small joys. The idea started as a spacious room among the tents, where they found everything they needed to continue their dreams and creativity. However, it evolved into a larger and more professional center, while the word Ebdaa means Creativity.
Diligent preparation began in the summer of 2022, and its free classes started in October. Drawing, singing, and handcrafts were its initial talents. It then expanded to include photography, cooking, farming, knitting, reading, fashion design, and more. Before completing its first year, the number of creative children reached a hundred. The center’s projects evolved over time, targeting diverse groups and different ages. The center aims to develop human potential, unleash creativity, affirm collaboration, and support their journey in achieving their dreams.
Ebdaa Center continues its journey, presenting new ideas and talents, attracting more energy. It aspires to be a guiding light for every child who dreams and doesn’t know where to start, and for every adult who wants to guide them on the way.
